We’re here to support you throughout your time in halls. 🫂

Life at University can feel overwhelming, 🙇🏻 living in a new place, finding new friends and managing coursework deadlines can be stressful for anyone! At Halls Life we understand the unique challenges students face and that’s why we’re Here4U. 💜

What is Here4U?

Here4U is a specialist wellbeing programme, dedicated to support and assist you throughout your stay in our halls. We want to help you relax, recharge and rest assured that you feel supported throughout your studies and stay with us.

Here4U is run by our friendly Halls Life Student Wellbeing Coordinator, Marco! 

What support is available to me? 

You can find all sorts of online resources under the Health & Wellbeing tab on the Halls Life website, such as money and budgeting tipsfree wellbeing events and guides

📌 Coffee and Chat – feeling a bit lonely and in need of a friendly chat? You can sign up to be paired with a committee member from your hall to have a relaxed one hour session. These sessions are a chance to unwind, connect and share how you’re feeling ☕️

📌  Queer Peers Podcast - hosted by our very own UAL Halls Life student wellbeing coordinator Marco Bodi (he/him), every month he sits down with a new guest to discuss important topics in the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

📌 Neurodiversity screening - one of the many advantages of studying at UAL is students' access to free testing and Special Learning Difference support. The Disability Service Department provides screening for different types of neurodiversity, including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). *Please note that the Disability Service cannot medically diagnose autism.

📌 Free sanitary products are available in all halls to help with the ongoing cost of living crisis

📌 Free food in Community fridges - perhaps you have extra food you don’t want? Drop it in our shared fridge for others to enjoy. Or if you’re hungry, please help yourself to anything in there - it’s all up for grabs! 🥙

📌  Free dry food dispensers can be found in your halls with healthy essential items such as rice, oats and snacks. Our UAL Halls Life resident chef Toby is also on hand with delicious recipes to inspire you as part of Cooking4U

📌 Free wellbeing events such as yoga, puppy therapy and pilates 🧘‍♀️

📌 Free laundry powder 

📌  STI kits - Here4U provides free STI self-testing kits, along with information and materials to help you stay on top of your sexual health

📌 Pregnancy support and contraception - if you need a pregnancy test then feel free to reach out to us on here4u@arts.ac.uk
