Looking to make a difference while living in halls next year?! 💭
Our award-winning Halls Life team is now recruiting their new student committee members who will help them to deliver an exceptional student experience across our halls.
In 2025/26 there will be two types of paid roles* available within the student committee, Halls Life Events Leads and Halls Life Communications Leads. These positions are only eligible to people who will want to live in UAL Halls of residence in 2025/26.
We are currently hiring for committees at the following buildings: Sketch House, Gardens House, Portland House, Archwhood House, Stratford One, Highline Building, The Costume Store, Furzedown Student Village and Glassyard Building.

1) Halls Life Events Leads 🏡
Hours per week: 12 hours
Suitable for: Students in UAL halls only
Duration of role: 30 June 2025 to 15 January 2026
Payment: £16.81 p/h (including holiday pay)
About the role:
The Events Lead will be responsible for creating and delivering weekly events for the students living in their halls on-site. 🥳
In this role, you will have support from Communications Lead and the wider team but will be primarily responsible for the event planning and management of events internally.
2) Halls Life Communications Leads 🏡
Hours per week: 12 hours
Suitable for: Students in UAL halls only
Duration of role: 30 June 2025 to 15 January 2026
Payment: £16.81 p/h (including holiday pay)
About the role:
The Communications Lead will be responsible for creating and delivering promotional and marketing campaigns around the halls for the weekly events that take place for the students on-site. 📣
In this role, you will support your committee partner in deciding what events to run, but will be primarily responsible for the communication and promotion of an event, including social media, Halls Life website, Eventbrite and physical marketing. You will also assist with Here4U responsibilities.
📌 Further information
You must be available to attend online training sessions for the role from July - August and be available the first week of September for in person training (you will receive free accommodation for this training week, and you will be paid also).
If you are offered this role after interview and accept the position, you are automatically guaranteed a place in UAL halls of residence 2025/2026. Although we will try to guarantee you your first choice of hall, this might not always be possible.
