Fresh off the back of a fantastic month celebrating Pride, our Halls Life team have secured a top award at this year’s Heist Awards. 🥇 

Hosted in Leeds, the team won the award for ‘Best Student or Alumni Engagement Initiative’ for their LGBTQ+ History Month Campaign, ‘Lighting up life for our LGBTQ+ students’.

As part of the campaign, the Halls Life team organised 14 LGBTQ+ focused events throughout the month of February, over twice their usual annual average. Their jam-packed programme of events included ‘Queer Illuminations’, an evening of celebration at Chelsea College of Arts, which was illuminated to honour this significant month. 🌈 

The Heist Awards recognise excellence and innovation in education marketing and we are so thrilled that the hard work and dedication of our Halls Life team has been appreciated on this huge stage 🏆 

It’s the third award ceremony within a month that Halls Life have received some prestigious recognition. They recently won twice at the Queer Student Awards for University of the Year and Role Model of the Year in Education. They also dominated at the CUBO Awards for where they had success in another two categories; Best Residence Life Experience and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Spotlight.
