With the end of term fast approaching, we are taking a trip down memory lane to show case some of the incredible things that happened in our halls this year!
Welcome Weekend 2024/25 🏡
Our wonderful staff, Halls Life team and committee members welcomed nearly 4000 students to live in halls last September.
The Welcome Weekends are always such a busy (yet rewarding) time as students settle into their new home-away-from-home and embrace uni life in London 🏡
New faces on our Halls Committee 🥳
As we welcomed new and returning students to halls, we also onboarded a new cohort of Halls Life committee members.
They are students living in our halls and we really value them as they always bring fresh ideas to the table, plus host various events in halls (as well as a few events outside of halls) to ensure you have the best time of your life!
September events 🎉
Our award-winning Halls Life team hosted more than 70+ events during September to help students connect with new people and start creating some new memories in halls!
Celebrated Black History Month ✨
Black History Month (BHM) takes place in October across the UK and is an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and share the outstanding contributions of the Black community in our UAL halls. It's also a time for reflection and to raise awareness of Black history and heritage.
UAL launched the Black Creatives Hub, which is a space dedicated to empowering and uplifting Black creatives.
Christmas Day in halls 🎄
In the lead up to the festive season, our Halls Life team and committee members hosted a variety of events, including Christmas movie nights and Christmas tree decor and ornament building.
On Christmas Day, our Halls Life team delivered hampers to various halls with treats and games to share with students from int their halls to add some joy and fun during the holiday period. 🍫🧺
LGBTQ+ History Month 🏳️🌈
This year our Halls Life team launched multiple campaigns to help champion LGBTQ+ History Month, including:
- The Art of Drag
- Big Queen Bus Tour
- Queer Icons Ball
- New episodes on our Queer Peers podcast
Cooking 4 U classes 👩🏽🍳
In collaboration with UAL Catering and Baxter Storey, we hosted a cooking class with chef Tom at Sketch House.
Our sous chefs made soda bread, soup and other yummy treats!
Neurodiversity week 💭
In March, we aimed to debunk some of the most common myths about some neurological differences with the launch of our new campaign, 'Myths and Legends,' with these interactive cubes at the halls.
Find out more information about the Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025 campaign.
