Get your tastebuds dancing with these colourful sweet treats. Pride Month is all about spreading the love and what better way to do that than sharing some homemade bakes with loved ones?
P.S. food colouring will be your best friend!
Rainbow cupcakes 🌈
For this recipe, you don't even need to stray away from a classic cupcake recipe. Simply bake your favourite flavour of cupcake in the oven, let them cool and pipe your rainbow colours on top. All you need is some coloured buttercream (you can buy this or make this yourself), some cling film and a piping nozzle - then they're ready for the party.
Or, you can just cover a cupcake in one colour and change the others up, like ours from last year:
Colourful crepe cake 🥞
Who knew you could make a cake out of pancakes? A cheap and cheerful dessert, all you need is pancake batter, food colouring and whipped cream. This showstopper might be simple but it's sure to go down a treat, so grab your apron and get flipping!
Dot cake 🍰
A simple recipe that creators have been trying, this cute dot cake is a great nostalgic and colourful treat that should be easy to replicate (and perfect for a Pride pic)!
Looking for something easier?
This healthy fruit skewer is a nice refresher in the hot weather and minimum effort, choose to play around with the design or not - just make sure it pops on the plate!
Looking for a challenge?
Try baking a Pride sourdough if you dare! It may take some patience, but it sure is impressive - and a delicious savoury alternative.
