What is consent?
Is it rape? Do you know the difference between consensual sex and rape?
According to section 74 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, someone consents when an individual "agrees by choice…and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice."
That’s a clear definition.
But also why not check out the video above to see some useful examples of this in real life situations, by the Disrespect NoBody charity or check out their website for more video content and support on sexting, relationship abuse and porn.
If this, or a relating issue, is affecting you remember you can always speak to your Hall Committee by emailing here4u@arts.ac.uk (please reference your hall in the subject line).
Please be reassured that everything you discuss will be dealt with confidentially and sensitively.
