Essential healthcare information for new students

You must register with a local doctor as soon as you arrive - don't wait until you're ill. A registration form can be filled out online or in person at the GP reception.

Health and emergency contacts

  • 999 - Life-threatening emergencies. Always call 999 if someone is seriously unwell, losing consciousness, or you are concerned for their immediate safety.
  • 111 - Non-emergency medical advice, 24 hours a day. Use NHS 111 online at 111.nhs.uk or call 111 if you're unsure whether something needs urgent attention.

The Health Advice Service provides advice and information to students at University of the Arts London (UAL) on registering with a doctor (GP) in the UK and about any other aspect of health and well-being.
