UK Disability History Month (UKDHM) is an annual event shining a light on the history of the fight for equality. Since it began in 2010, it has helped raise awareness of the ongoing struggle for disabled people’s rights. This year’s theme is Disability, Politics and Democracy, which looks at how disabled people have won a political voice and why representation still matters.
