This simple kale smoothie recipe has a delicious blend of earthy and zesty flavours to wake up your senses in the morning:

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 handfuls kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • Large handful frozen pineapple chunks
  • Medium-sized chunk ginger
  • 1 tbsp cashew nuts (optional)
  • 1 banana (optional)

METHOD

  1. Put all ingredients into the blender.
  2. Add a large splash of water or milk.
  3. Blend and add more water/milk until you have the desired consistency.

Top tip: instead of putting ice in your smoothie, freeze your fruit for that thick and frosty texture without compromising flavour.

If you want to trial a kale smoothie before you invest in the ingredients, you could always grab one of our Kale Kick smoothies in our cafés! 🥬

Satisfy your sweet tooth 🍓

Instead of reaching for the chocolate when you're in the mood for a treat, why not opt for naturally sweet fruit instead?

Sometimes the simple classics are the most reliable and one unbeatable combo has to be sweet banana and juicy strawberry. This is the perfect smoothie to make when you're in a rush and need breakfast on the go:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 cup plain yoghurt

METHOD

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding additional milk as needed.
  3. Leftover blended smoothie can be frozen in cubes for future use.

Top tip: avoid adding artificial sweeteners and opt for something natural like organic honey instead.

Fancying something a little more tropical? Pop into our cafés and grab a Pash 'n' Shoot smoothie made with mango, pineapple & seedless passion fruit. 🍍

Try something different 🥕

Savoury smoothies are in! There's some ingredients that might make you cringe when you think about blending them up and drinking them, but you'd be surprised how many savoury ingredients actually work in a smoothie.
