Moving into Stratford One? Here's what you need to know

We wanted to update you about the planned building works taking place at Stratford One this year. As previously mentioned on the UAL website and in your tenancy agreement, the improvement works include replacing the external façade of the building.  

Below you will find all the information that you need to know about the upcoming works: 

Here’s what you need to know: 

• Works start date: 13 October 2024 

• Working Hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

• Visibility of Workers: Expect to see workers on-site. 

• Temporary Accommodation: Stratford One will set you up an ensuite room for two weeks while they work on your block. After that, you’ll move back into your own room. There will be no need to leave the building or change room types.

• Packing: You will not need to take all your belongings with you.  You can pack and take any belongings you may need for the two weeks and the rest can remain securely stored in your room. Trolleys will be available in reception. 

• Moving Day Notification: The site team will inform you via email about your moving day and assigned room when the time approaches. 

Important Dates

- Block A (UAL):   13 October 2024 to 21 December 2024 

- Block B (UAL):   8 December 2024 to 12 April 2025 

Improvement works to the two UAL Blocks (A & B) will be completed by 12 April 2025.  

However, the full programme of work is scheduled to be completed by the 27 September 2025. If there are any changes, Stratford One will inform you in advance. 

Support for You

We understand that these works may cause some disruption. To support you, Stratford One have organised quiet spaces for you to study. Please let them know at reception if you need to use these spaces.

Stratford One will also keep you updated with any important information via a noticeboard in the reception area.
