Thanks to the U Dine Awards

We're proud to be taking the 'Plant Based Menu' award home this year 🌱

We're so glad to have our hard work recognised by the U Dine Awards that celebrate excellence and innovation in the university hospitality sector.

This award acknowledges our diverse plant-based food offering and dedication to having mouth-watering veggie and vegan dishes on our menus that are as tasty as they are sustainable.

We are so proud of our team 💚

Our catering team create incredible dishes for you every single weekday with these four things in mind:

  • Authenticity
  • Locally sourced pulses and ingredients
  • Seasonality
  • Flexibility

Not only do they make sure their range of dishes are influenced by all of your (and their own!) diverse cultural backgrounds, but also always incorporate locally sourced ingredients supplied by incredible businesses like Waste Knot and Wildfarmed to support British farmers and promote sustainability.

Prioritising seasonal ingredients, we always make sure you're eating the freshest and most flavourful ingredients throughout the entire year while leaving space for constant adaptation and change to our menus.

So much effort goes in behind the scenes to ensure you're getting nutritious and delicious plates every time.

Did you know?

Although we didn't win at the U Dine Awards last year, we did win the 'Best University Venue Award' in 2022 for our canteen and café in Central Saint Martins 🎉 So we're so excited to have another win this year!

As the first university in the UK to receive the Gold Food for Life Catering Mark award by the Soil Association across canteens at all of our colleges and holders of the Green Kitchen Standard accreditation, you know that our food is not only high-quality, healthy and fresh but also as sustainable as possible.

Next time you visit our canteens, make sure to try our delicious plant-based dishes!
