Jamie studies at Camberwell College of Arts and lives in Archwood House, where he also works as a Halls Life Content Creator. Living and studying in Camberwell, he knows the area really well.
From cheap eats to spending time in nature, here's how he and his friends spent a day exploring their favorite local gems.
1. South London Gallery 🎨
South London Gallery is right next to Camberwell College of Arts, completely free to visit, and has a quiet bookstore and café inside where you can sit down and get some work done in peace.
2. My Falafel 🍽️
When you need a quick lunch, My Falafel is non-negotiable. You can grab a massive wrap for £4.50, which is a lifesaver.
3. Noodle City 🍜
If you're hungrier and would like a bigger meal, visit Noodle City for their £5 build-your-own box. We stacked our boxes with lots of food!
4. Francesco's 🍕
For dinner, Francesco's is unbelievable. They do authentic high-quality italian food and it's just £5 for a huge pizza. They also serve tiramisu so we got some to take-away.
5. Saphi ☕
Around sunset, we grabbed coffees from Saphi. The vibe inside is so clean, peaceful and aesthetic, I was literally obsessed. It's such a nice, quiet escape.
6. Ruskin Park 🌳
Then, we headed to Ruskin Park. It felt so good to chill out, get some fresh air and touch some grass. It's a great place to spend time with friends and pretend you don't have five deadlines. I always feel so refreshed after visiting here. Plus, if you visit on Sunday afternoons, you can often catch live music in the bandstand.
