UAL Colleges
As UAL has such a large community and the Colleges are in different places across London, it’s important that UAL Colleges have a rigorous policy in place that covers our position on e-scooters and e-bikes.
The issue surrounding the safety of e-bikes and e-scooters has been discussed throughout different sectors of the UK, with the London Fire Brigade launching their #ChargeSafe campaign to better educate on the dangers that these vehicles could pose.
Here are the UAL Colleges policies on e-scooters and e-bikes below:
🚳 E-scooters: e-scooters are strictly prohibited on all UAL sites. Please do not bring them into the Colleges.
🚲 E-bikes: students may bring e-bikes onto campus if they are stored in an external bike storage. However, it is strictly prohibited to bring an e-bike into a UAL building, including any internal bike storage facilities.
If you would like to bring an e-bike onto campus and store it externally, you may not bring the e-bike's battery into the building with you under any circumstance, due to the risk of fire that it poses.
*This policy will not impact electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters, which are permitted on site at all times
