What you need to know about using e-bikes & scooters at UAL

Take a moment to read the information below to make sure you're up to date with our current policies.

UAL Halls

E-bikes and e-scooters aren’t allowed in any of our halls. This includes the rooms, flats and buildings.

UAL Colleges

The safety risks posed by e-bikes and e-scooters are well-documented, and the London Fire Brigade's #ChargeSafe campaign has highlighted the fire hazards these vehicles can present. Our college policies reflect this:

🚳 E-scooters are strictly prohibited on all UAL sites. Please do not bring them into the Colleges.

🚲 E-bikes may be brought onto campus, but only if stored in an external bike storage area. E-bikes must not be brought inside any UAL building — including internal bike storage facilities — and their batteries must not be brought inside under any circumstances due to fire risk.

*This policy will not impact electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters, which are permitted on site at all times

Where can I park my e-bike?

  • CSM (Archway)
  • Camberwell (Peckham Road and Wilson Road)
