Check out some of the vibrant and welcoming events happening at UAL and across London this month to celebrate the community LGBTQ! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

  • Thursday 5th June ‘A History of Lesbian Fashion’ - this Thursday evening join Historian Eleanor Medhurst for an panel talk about her new book, Unsuitable: A History of Lesbian Fashion where she will take you on a fascinating journey through all things culture, society and politics of lesbian clothing. You can buy tickets via their website. 📚
  • Saturday 22 June - 'Pride Ride' - find some wheels and join the annual pride bike ride around London, accompanied by music booming from a fleet of disco bikes. Be sure to register for this wheely fun event. 🚴🏼‍♀️
  • Sunday 23 June 'Trans Pride and Dyke March in conversation' - join this conversation at Queer Britan for an afternoon about the importance of pride for communities, including the history, challenges and hopes for the future. Sign up for the event to you're planning to attend. 👀
  • Tuesday 25 June - 'Writing Proud' - head along to this welcoming introduction to the Gays' Author Workshop at Hammersmith Library in Shepard's Bush - a supportive self-help group of LGBTQ+ writers offering monthly meetings and publishing anthologies of members' work. Reserve your spot for this insightful event. 📝
  • Saturday 29th June 'Pride in London Parade' - put on your best walking shoes and join the staff network for one of the biggest days in the London LGBTQ+ calendar at this year's Pride Parade. Make sure you register if you want to join the float and be part of the parade with UAL staff. 🎉
