💡 Here are some low budget and sustinable craft ideas to get your halls and room looking sparkly and festive in no time. 

1. Paper chains ✂️

Re-use paper you already have lying around to make a decorative paper chain. Paper chains are easy to make and completely customisable. 

Materials you'll need:

  • Any paper you have to hand
  • Stapler, tape or glue to connect the loops and make a chain

2. Toilet roll tube reindeer 🦌

Once you've finished a toilet roll - don't toss it out. The tube can be re-used for endless crafts. Here's one example of a cute decorative reindeer to put on your shelf.  

Materials you'll need:

  • A toilet roll tube 
  • Any spare cardboard
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • White paint/marker pen and a black pen

3. Orange garlands 🍊

All you need is an orange and a needle and thread. Once you've sliced and baked your orange, string the slices together to make a pretty and natural garland! 

Since the oranges are dried, this decoration will last for years.

Materials you'll need:

  • Orange
  • Needle & twine/thread

4. Paper star chains ⭐

Have some pretty paper bags lying around or spare card from previous projects? Cut them into stars and string them together to create a seasonal star chain.

Materials you'll need:

  • Paper from bags or any paper you have spare
  • Needle & thread
  • Paint if the paper is plain
  • Scissors

5. Paper snowflakes ❄️

Paper snowflakes can be made with printer paper, or any other paper you have to hand. Make a few and display them together to create a lovely festive effect. If you have fairy lights, you can place them alongside the snowflakes to make them glow. 

Materials you'll need:

  • Printer paper of spare paper you have
  • Scissors 
  • Glue
  • Thread to hang them
