Get to know the committee members living in your hall!

We are so proud to introduce you to the new student halls committee members at Sketch House for 2024/2025, Harry, Raj and Salma! 🏡

If you see your friendly and welcoming committee members around your hall, make sure you say hi and introduce yourself to them. 👋 

So you can get to know them better, we asked them to share with us a fun fact about themselves. Take a read below 👀

Sketch House Committee Members 🫶🏽

Harry Chen (he/him) - Communications Lead

"A fun fact about me is I'm a time traveller—sort of. Every time I go on a trip, I send a postcard to myself, so I feel like I'm communicate with the future me."

As a Communications Lead, he will be responsible for creating and delivering promotional and marketing campaigns around the halls for the weekly events that take place for the students. 🗣️🤳

Raj (they/them) - Community Lead

"When I was a kid, I pretended to be a whale whisperer. I had built my own marine rehab centre where all the whales in the world were my best friends. My favourite thing to act out was the whales letting me ride on their backs out of their love for me and twirling me around the oceans."

As a Community Lead, they will be responsible for the development of student related wellbeing activity across their halls. They will support in the upkeep and development of the Here4U programme within Halls Life 🏘️

Salma Mohamed Hamed El Sayed Garana (she/her) - Event Lead

"I’ve had over 42 dogs; I’m definitely looking forward for Puppy yoga 🐶🥰"

As an Event Lead, Salma will be responsible for creating and delivering weekly events for the students living in their halls. 🎪📝
