We are so proud to introduce you to the new student halls committee members at Portland House for 2024/2025, Anwesha and Sakshi! 🏡

If you see your friendly and welcoming committee members around your hall, make sure you say hi and introduce yourself to them. 👋 

So you can get to know them better, we asked them to share with us a fun fact about themselves. Take a read below 👀

Portland House Committee Members 🫶🏽

Anwesha Basu (she/her) - Community Lead

"You could call me a plant for wanting loads of sunlight, so if you are planning something outdoorsy count me in! Also, I happen to be an enabler, and I fit the roles of a hype-woman or a devil's advocate pretty easily."

As a Community Lead, they will be responsible for the development of student related wellbeing activity across their halls. They will support in the upkeep and development of the Here4U programme within Halls Life. 🏘️

Sakshi - (she/her) - Event Lead

"I'm an engineer turned designer with a Harry Potter obsession. I love diving into dark academia, crime, and fantasy novels, and I'm your go-to for Agatha Christie (& dark academia) book recs. Also, I'm always up for wine tasting and museum hopping!"

As an Event Lead, they will be responsible for creating and delivering weekly events for the students living in their halls. 🎪📝
