It's Transgender Day of Remembrance on Thursday 20th November 2025 🏳️‍⚧️

To mark Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender day of Remembrance, we’ll be placing trans-coloured post boxes in halls for you to share messages of support with younger trans individuals.

Write a message of support

💌 You’ll find postcards, pens and stickers on the table. Simply write a thoughtful message and post it into the postbox.

🖊️ Your words can offer hope, comfort and confidence to a young person who may be questioning their gender identity, or who identifies as non-binary or transgender. These messages will be shared with young people supported by the charity mermaids.

📮 How long will the postboxes be up?

These postboxes are up for a limited time – until they are collected in early December – so make sure you take a moment to get involved!

Mermaids is a leading trans-focused UK charity who provide services to trans children and young people, as well as their families. They advocate for safe, inclusive environments and campaign for the rights and wellbeing of trans young people, helping them feel empowered to be their best selves.
