Support clothing reuse and reduce waste by donating clothes

You may have noticed new donation bins appearing in your hall! 👀

These bins are part of a new collaboration with The Creators Vintage Department, a UAL student group that host free clothing fairs, swaps, and upcycling workshops.

Their mission is to keep textiles in circulation for as long as possible - reducing waste whilst helping people refresh their wardrobes sustainably.

What clothing can be donated?

✅ Clothing you no longer wear or that no longer fits

✅ Items with small faults - such as missing buttons or minor tears - are perfectly acceptable, as many can be repaired or transformed during workshops 🪡🧶✂️

✅ Clean, freshly washed clothing 🧼

✅ All sizes and styles welcome

✅ Accessories (hats, scarves, bags) 👒 👜🧣

🚨 Each bin includes a short list of donation guidelines, so be sure to check the information panel when you donate.

How long will the donation bins be in place for?

The donation bins will remain in place over the festive season and will be collected in January

What will happen to the clothes I donate?

Your donated clothes will be sorted and prepared so that they can be used in community fairs and upcycling sessions. In these sessions, your clothes will transformed and given a new life. 👚

By donating, you’re not only reducing waste but also supporting a vibrant culture of reuse and reinvention within our UAL community. ♻️

Thank you for supporting a more sustainable future and helping turn pre-loved pieces into something new! 🌍 💚
