Every year on 22 April, Earth Day brings people together to celebrate and support the environmental movement and the ongoing effort to protect our planet's natural resources for future generations.
Earth Week runs from 20β26 April, giving us a chance to explore what we can all do to help tackle the climate crisis. Whether you're already passionate about sustainability or just getting started, it's a chance to get involved, learn something new and take action.
This year focuses on the Fault Lines we stand on, not just as pressure points, but as places for mending, repair and transformation.
-
Exploring fault lines helps us find opportunities for change within existing systems.

Take a photo of any wild species (plants, fungi, insects, animals) you see on a UAL campus, upload it onto the app and it will identify what youβve captured.
If you want to see what others have captured at UAL in the iNaturalist app, go to Menu β Projects, search for βUniversity of the Arts Londonβ and join the UAL Campus Biodiversity Network Collection Project.
Not only is it a fun, hands-on way to get outdoors, youβll also be making a meaningful contribution to conservation at UAL as all campus observations support our long-term biodiversity monitoring.
