Titanique is a hilarious, award-winning musical parody of the film Titanic, told from the perspective of Céline Dion, who hijacks a museum tour to retell the Jack and Rose love story using her iconic hits like "My Heart Will Go On" and "All by Myself" with a live band, creating a campy, chaotic, and nostalgic theatrical experience.
It's known for its powerhouse vocals, LGBTQ+ friendly humour, and over-the-top performances, making it a "must-see" for fans of Dion, Titanic, or simply great comedy. 🤣
Why we chose to visit and subsidise tickets for Titanique for LGBTQIA+ History Month
LGBTQIA+ History Month is about celebrating queer culture, creativity, and the communities that have historically used art as a form of expression, resistance, and joy. Titanique is rooted in camp; a style deeply iconically LGBTQIA+ and pays tribute to queer audiences through its humour, music, and unapologetic theatricality.
The show embraces themes of chosen family, self-expression, and reclaiming mainstream narratives through a queer lens. By reimagining a globally recognised story in a bold, joyful, and subversive way, Titanique reflects how LGBTQIA+ artists have long reshaped culture to make space for themselves and others.
