What it is like to be Dyslexic? - short film
Dyslexia is a disability that affects 10% of the UK. In fact, there is a higher number of dyslexic students than at UAL than at most universities.
The video shown is an exaggerated representation of what it is like to be dyslexic, created by Josh Penn, a dyslexic student; intended to communicate to those that do not have Dyslexia, taking them through a narrative style video describing and demonstrating what dyslexia is.
Check out Josh's other work and Youtube channel.
Are you dyslexic and looking for help at UAL? If so, the university has a disability service, which offers a range of practical resources to help. They can also provide an assessment if you think you may be dyslexic and would like to be tested.
You can contact them via email: disability@arts.ac.uk or phone: 44 (0)20 7514 6156.
National Dyslexia Awareness Week runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 October.
