Yoga is a great form of exercise. It gives you strength, flexibility and gives the mind an excellent work out too.
If you're looking to practice yoga whilst studying, we've put together our top yoga recommendations for London students.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, there's something here for everyone!
1) Museum of Happiness – Shoreditch (Free)
Based in Shoreditch, the Museum of Happiness is an organisation that encourages and practices everyday mindfulness and wellbeing.
They offer a free yoga class at their Canvas Café in Shoreditch, every Thursday between 7 - 8 pm.
Register on their meetup page to take part.
2) Sunrise Yoga – City of London (£10)
Fancy greeting the day with stunning views across London? Set in the city’s beautiful Sky Garden, this class welcomes all levels of yogis. A definite must for anyone new to London.
Classes are £10 a session - a bargain for the experience you get.
3) Lululemon
This exercise clothes shop has several branches across London and offers a range of free activities, including free Sunday morning yoga at their Marylebone store.
The perfect way to sweat out a hangover after a heavy weekend!
4) Yogarise - Peckham - (Free/£3)
This cosy and fun yoga studio is on the second floor of the Bussey Building in Peckham.
You can book online and pay a £3 charity donation or turn up early for a free spot.
They also offer a 10% NUS discount on most of their memberships!
5) Our Parks, all over London – (Free)
Our Parks is a scheme that brings free exercise classes (including yoga) to parks all over London in partnership with local councils and authorities.
Don't forget that FREE YOGA takes place in your common room every Monday evening at 7pm.
