Accommodation advice for students arriving in January 2022
If you’re a UAL student moving to London in January 2022 and are looking for a place to live, the Accommodation Services team is here to help you!
Although our rooms are currently fully booked, we have teamed up with some of our partners and other trusted student accommodation providers to give you a full list of available halls close to UAL colleges.
We have also included information about our Private Accommodation Advisor and a link to the University of London Housing Services, who we work closely with. They have a range of services to assist students looking for and living in private accommodation.
Halls available
We’ve tried to group these halls to their closes UAL campus and included travel times either by bus or train. However, in London, it is quite normal to travel anything between 40 to 70 minutes to get to school, work, or to see friends in a different area/zone. You can find out more information about travelling around London on the app Citymapper.
We encourage you to look at as many halls in the list below to get a feel for the buildings, local areas, and rooms.
Please note, we have been advised that rooms will be sold on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible. All bookings must be made directly with the property.

House sharing and renting privately
Rather than moving into halls, you may want to move into a house-share. Remember, that if you do, your tenancy is likely to be 12-months. This could mean that you have a January-December contract, whereas halls tenancies tend to align with the academic year. If you decide this is the right living situation for you, our Private Accommodation Advisor and the University of London Housing Services can help you.
Private accommodation advice at UAL
We have a dedicated Private Accommodation Advisor who is available to offer free contract checks and practical advice on renting in the private sector.
You can contact her at: private.accom@arts.ac.uk or take a look at the following links for more information:
