Are you joining the UAL Halls community this September? We're sure you're getting excited about 'Halls Life', living independently and becoming part of this amazing capital city.
Have you heard about the Social Programme?
UAL hosts the Social Programme that runs events and activities in every hall throughout the year. The events are organised by Social Reps - fellow students that would be living with you. They organise a wide range of activities, from film and popcorn nights to sewing and knitting clubs. You can go on trips around the capital, the country and even Europe. Check out the 'events' tab to get a taste of some of our summer events.
Do you know who Wellbeing Peers are and what they do?
Our friendly Wellbeing Peers are based in each hall to give advice, support and information regarding anything that has an impact on your life as a UAL student. With up to three weekly drop-in sessions, they’re a welcoming face to chat to, ask questions and help you settle in. They can offer guidance on a whole range of issues, from flatmates, managing workloads, compiling your portfolio, to moving away from home and making new friends. To get an idea about the kind of advice the team offer, check out the 'wellbeing' tab.
What’s communal living like?
Living in halls means you get to live independently, whilst enjoying the facilities of a managed building. If you choose a room with a shared kitchen you’ll have the chance to socialise easily with other members of your flat. When you arrive we give you lots of information about harmonious living, for example setting up a kitchen rota as soon as you can to ensure there are no disputes about cleanliness. Check out the 'Essential Info' tab to get a head start on some of this useful information.
