If you are applying for halls, there are a few things you need to remember to do before applications open on Wednesday 10 May at 10 am (BST).
Luckily we have our convenient checklist so you don’t have to worry.
- Register for an account before 10 May.
Doing this will make the process a lot quicker on the day. To register you will need your Student ID number and date of birth.
Your Student ID number is provided with your letter of offer to study at the University. Your ID is your first 3 letters of your surname, followed by an 8-digit code. If you don't have this information, please contact your course administrator and they will be able to assist you.
After preregistering your account, you can then log back in with your Student ID and password on Wednesday 10 May at 10 am (BST) on our website.
- Choose and prepare a list of your top five halls
We always advise you choose five options, so we can have a clearer picture of what accommodation you prefer. We always try our best to give you one of your top five but we can not guarantee this, so book early to avoid disappointment. Check out our full portfolio here if you haven't made your mind up!
- Don’t panic
Please note there will be lots of traffic directed to the website that day, so be patient and don’t panic. If you are experiencing difficulties, please try again later in the day or try a different browser. We also suggest accessing the system on a desktop computer rather than a mobile device (including tablets).
- After you have submitted your application
If you submit your application on Wednesday 10 May you will receive an offer of accommodation approximately three weeks after you apply. At this stage, you can decide whether to accept your offer or decline. If you do accept, you are required to pay a deposit, advance rent payment and admin fee which totals to £510. If you apply after Wednesday 10 May, find out more about when you should receive your offer from us.
For more information on the booking process please see our Accommodation FAQs.
If you do have any other questions, you can always speak to our expert Accommodation Advisors. You can contact them on +44 (0)20 7514 6240 (8am-6pm Monday-Friday) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
